Exhausted Advisors will be unusable, while exhausted Governors will provide less starting funds and annual budget. ![]() Governors and Advisors will be exhausted upon completing a map with them. Maps may randomly contain Soldier Upgrade Depots, and can spawn Caves. The first two maps start with a number of Government-Controlled stable zones diminishing in quantity, while the last three would contain insurgent-controlled zones increasing in numbers, and if allied forces enter there before the insurgency starts, the insurgency is accelerated. Likewise, some of the aforementioned modifiers don't appear on Mega Brutal. If playing on Casual, the "Casual Mode" modifier overrides one minor feature on all maps, leaving the player with only two of them. Each map has its own set of 4 Map Features, including a major and three minor ones. ![]() These persist for the entire campaign (the most recent insurgent tactic may be removed if the Player Tactic "Counter Intelligence" appears). If there is even one loss (or 2 in the same region, if the Player Tactic "Combat Simulator" is active), the entire campaign fails.Īfter passing each map, the player gets to pick a Player Tactic ( 1 star after the first and third, 2 star after the second and fourth), while the insurgents get to pick Insurgent Tactics after the first and third. In Campaign, your mission is to stabilize an entire country by progressing through five individual regions.
